About the Role:

The primary focus of this role is to carry out service, maintenance, repair and recondition jobs of earthmoving machinery as directed to a satisfactory standard of quality workmanship and in a timely manner.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Perform maintenance, report and recondition jobs on CAT Earthmoving Equipment
  • Research and consult the correct and latest service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications
  • Research and use the correct and latest parts and service information systems to order parts, as well as a guide to correct disassembly/assembly details
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure that assigned tasks are free of faulty workmanship assuring quality in the finished product
  • Ensure repairs are carried out using the appropriate control guidelines to ensure that rework jobs do not occur. This is to include check sheets, quality control procedures and guidelines for reusable parts
  • Perform diagnostic assessments on mining and general construction equipment
  • Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within required target times
  • Determine reusability of all disassembled parts

You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

  • Trade Qualification - Certificate III Engineering (Diesel Fitting)
  • Computer literacy
  • Previous experience on CAT machinery & CAT diagnostic systems is desirable.
  • Committed to Safety Culture and No Harm Environment
  • Motivated and strong work ethic with excellent organizational skills
  • Physically fit to pass a Pre-Employment Medical + D&A Screening
