Haynes currently have an opportunity for an experienced Machine Operator to join our valued client based in Dubbo.

Production Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating machinery to complete customers’ orders to specification within agreed schedule
• Performing regular maintenance on production equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Keeping a close watch on the production process to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Running and monitoring machines used in various stages of steel production, such as furnaces, rolling mills, and casting machines.
• Inspecting raw materials and finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
• Moving semi-finished and finished steel products within the facility using cranes, forklifts, or other equipment.

Successful Candidate must:

• Hold a current C Class Drivers Licence + Reliable Transport
• Physically Fit - able to undertake manual handling.
• Prior experience with sheet metal folding
• Holds a current forklift licence with proven experience
• Ability to work in a team environment and holds a sound understanding of safety in the workplace.
• Computer knowledge - advantageous
• Mechanically minded - advantageous
