Haynes is currently seeking a Digital Learning and Systems Officer for a valued client based in Moranbah.

About the Job:

  • 8:30am - 5pm | Monday – Friday; every second Monday off.
  • Part-time hours would be considered.
  • Start ASAP for approximately 6-12 months.

Requirements

  • Must be local to Moranbah
  • Driver's license and reliable transport.
  • Current Blue Card from Commission for Children, Young People & Child Guardian – or able to obtain prior to commencement
  • Experience in an education, library or community services environment, with a focus on digital initiatives, program development or technology integration
  • Proficient in digital tools and platforms used in library or community service settings
  • Extensive experience & advanced knowledge or Microsoft Office suites.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee digital infrastructure, software, and systems relating to library service provision, aspiring for best practice standards for library/hub facilities.
  • Implement and maintain system and library discovery layer interfaces and software in consultation with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Maintain knowledge of technologies essential for content discovery and stay updated on changing information seeker expectations.
  • Deliver high-quality library application management services and explore innovative digital services to support online discovery of collections and content for clients and staff.
  • Assist in the development, planning, and implementation of programs, events, projects, and activities to activate community capacity and promote learning and social cohesion through technology.
  • Facilitate training and provide developmental support to enable Community Hubs staff to deliver technology-enhanced experiences, including robotics, coding, and industry-based technology programs.
  • Undertake any other duties, projects, or service development activities as reasonably directed within the scope of the employee’s skills, competence, and training.
