About the Opportunity

Haynes People currently have multiple positions available for experienced 2nd Class Welders with our valued client in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

  • Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:00pm, Friday 7:00am – 1:00pm
  • Pay Rate: $46-$52/hr + penalties (depending on qualifications and experience)
  • Type: Casual ongoing with potential to transition into a permanent role

What You’ll be Doing

  • Perform welding using MIG, TIG and Stick welding processes
  • Fabricate, assemble and repair metal components and structures
  • Work from engineering drawings, fabrication plans and work orders
  • Weld and fabricate mild steel, stainless steel and other materials as required
  • Operate workshop equipment including grinders, drills and cutting tools
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections on completed work
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area
  • Work collaboratively with production and workshop teams to achieve project deadlines
  • Adhere to all workplace health, safety and quality requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a 2nd Class Welder
  • Current Driver's Licence (Manual Licence preferred)
  • Experience with MIG, TIG and Stick welding processes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong fabrication and workshop experience
  • Forklift Licence and Construction White Card highly regarded
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screen
