Parts Advisor

About the Role

Haynes are seeking an experienced Parts Advisor in Mackay to join an ever-growing team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering top-tier customer service and ensuring clients receive the right parts at the right time - you'll help maintain the client's reputation for reliability, accuracy, and service excellence.

• Pay Rate: $45/hr
• Type: Casual – Temp to Perm
• ASAP start!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate parts interpretation and advice to customers, technicians, and internal stakeholders
• Respond to phone, email, and counter enquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Process customer orders and manage backorders
• Drive parts sales through proactive upselling and cross-selling opportunities
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Support inventory management activities, including forecasting, stock monitoring, and replenishment
• Assist with stock takes and warehouse functions as required
• Ensure timely supply of parts to support workshop operations
• Promote genuine parts and aftermarket product solutions
• Maintain accurate records and reporting requirements
• Contribute to a safe and productive workplace environment

About You:

• Previous experience in Parts Interpreting, Parts Sales, or a similar automotive, truck, transport, or equipment industry role
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of diesel engines and related components
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A proactive approach to sales and customer engagement
• Certificate in Parts Interpreting (desired)
• Forklift Licence (advantageous but not essential)
