About the Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Maintenance Fitter to join our team for a 6 month period.

This role will focus on the maintenance, repair, servicing, and reliability improvement of a range of fixed plant and workshop equipment, including CNC machinery, hydraulic systems, manufacturing equipment, and associated plant assets.

Key Responsiblities:

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on CNC machines and fixed plant equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
• Conduct equipment inspections and identify opportunities for reliability improvements
• Complete repairs, overhauls, modifications, and component replacements
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation
• Carry out precision measurements and inspections using appropriate tooling
• Operate workshop machinery and testing equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain a high standard of safety, quality, and compliance with work instructions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance team

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification (Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Fitter or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience maintaining CNC machinery and fixed plant equipment
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to disassemble, inspect, measure, repair, and assemble mechanical components
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to fine tolerances
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
