Trades Assistant

We are currently seeking an experienced Trade Assistant to join a busy industrial workshop environment in Brisbane’s southern suburbs. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established organisation supporting a high-performing parts and service team.

What’s on Offer

• Location: Archerfield, QLD
• Hours: Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Friday: 6:00am – 12:30pm
• Pay: $42.65 per hour + penalties
• Type: Casual (temp-to-perm)

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting qualified tradespeople with mechanical tasks and workshop activities
• Supporting the preparation, setup and clean-up of work areas
• Safely operating forklifts to move equipment and components within the workshop
• Assisting with basic mechanical work under supervision
• Maintaining tools, equipment and workshop cleanliness
• Following all site safety procedures and contributing to a safe work environment

Requirements

• Current Driver’s Licence
• Current Forklift Licence – essential
• Previous mechanical or trade assistant experience
• Experience working in an industrial/workshop environment
• Strong work ethic and ability to work within a team
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
