Decoda is entering a growth phase with the signing of two strategic ‘reseller’ partnerships that will cover much of the mining industry worldwide. Decoda’s focus is helping mining customers make their mine sites more productive.

Your New Role

We are seeking a Product Owner to join our team at Decoda. Reporting to the Executive General Manager, this role is central to enabling Decoda’s growth ambitions over the next five years.

You’ll own the roadmap, shape the solution, and drive delivery of Decoda’s Client Portal and backend platform - turning complex data and workflows into powerful, user-friendly tools, that delivers value to the customer.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the development of Decoda’s Client Portal (web, data, and product solutions).
• Translate customer and business needs into clear product requirements and priorities.
• Work closely with Technical Leads and development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Support rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept development in an iterative environment.
• Engage directly with customers and industry stakeholders to capture insights and validate solutions.
• Perform product-market-fit activities to drive adoption and continuous improvement.
• Translate complex operational challenges into practical, user-friendly outcomes.
• Contribute to product strategy, investment decisions, and roadmap prioritisation.
• Lead deployment activities and capture learnings to enhance future releases.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to Sales and Implementation teams.
• Drive problem-solving and decision-making aligned to customer outcomes and business goals.

About You

• You are customer centric focused on delivering value to customers
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline, or a trade/practical background with a transition into digital technology roles.
• Proven experience working with technical teams to deliver data-driven products or platforms.
• Strong ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Experience engaging directly with clients to shape product requirements and solutions that deliver measurable value to the customer.
• Experience in mining, resources, or heavy industrial environments.
• Exposure to GNSS, mapping, data analytics, and/or AI technologies.
• Background in business analysis or product development.
