Haynes are seeking a reliable and motivated Service Driver to join a growing team servicing the Newcastle & Hunter Valley region.
This is a hands-on role operating a pump truck, delivering, servicing and collecting portable toilets on scheduled runs. For the right candidate, there is strong potential for this role to transition into a full-time position.

What’s on Offer:
- Location: Working out of the Thornton branch, servicing the Newcastle & Hunter Valley region
- Roster: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm (potential for overtime)
- Pay Rate: $42.00 per hour + penalties
- Employment Type: Casual (potential to transition to permanent for the right candidate)
- Immediate Start Available
About the Role:
Working autonomously, you will be responsible for:
- Operating a pump/vacuum truck across multiple customer sites
- Delivering, collecting and servicing portable toilets on scheduled routes
- Providing high-quality customer service on-site
- Performing daily pre-start vehicle and equipment inspections (including Hiab crane if applicable)
- Completing all required paperwork accurately and on time
- Loading/unloading units safely, ensuring compliance with load restraint procedures
- Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance on portable toilets
- Pumping, cleaning and restocking units to a high standard
- Disposing of waste at approved facilities
- Conducting site safety assessments (Take 5s / risk assessments)
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep
- Assisting with general yard duties when required
What we’re looking for:
- Current MR Truck Licence (essential)
- Previous truck driving experience
- High Risk Forklift Licence (LF)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to pass a Drug & Alcohol screen
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in liquid waste management
- Experience operating pump trucks
- Experience using Hiab crane equipment
