Yard Person

Haynes is seeking a reliable Yardperson to join our client based in Gladstone. This hands‑on role involves operating a forklift, loading and unloading fleet and equipment, and completing general yard and basic maintenance tasks.

What’s on offer:

• Location: Gladstone, QLD
• Roster: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm (potential for overtime)
• Pay Rate: $38.00 per hour + penalties
• Employment Type: Casual (temp‑to‑perm opportunity)
• Immediate Start Available

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and prepare fleet and equipment ready for hire
• Load and unload fleet and equipment from vehicles
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard environment
• Assist with basic maintenance and stock control
• Inspect equipment on return and report any damage
• Accurately complete required paperwork
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as required

What we’re looking for:

• Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
• Current Forklift Licence (essential)
• Ability to perform physical work and manual handling
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail
• Previous yard or equipment hire experience (preferred)
• Physically fit and able to pass a Drug & Alcohol screen
