About the Role

Based at our Paget workshop on Commercial Avenue, this permanent Machinist role offers flexibility across Day or Afternoon shift.

Roster & Location

• Day or Afternoon shift available
• Afternoon shift starts at 2:30pm with 24% shift loading
• Paget, Mackay (Commercial Avenue)

Key Responsibilities

As a Machinist at Austchrome, you will be involved in the manufacture and reclamation of hydraulic components using a range of precision equipment, including:

• Manual lathes, horizontal and vertical borers, and cylindrical grinders
• CNC lathes and horizontal and vertical borers with Fanuc controllers
• Reading and interpreting complex engineering and CAD drawings
• Producing components to tight tolerances and exact specifications
• Performing in-process quality inspections using micrometers and precision measuring tools
• Collaborating with skilled trades across machining, fabrication, fitting, and plating
• Maintaining and continuously improving safety standards in line with procedures and work instructions
