About the Role
Based in our Paget workshop, the Hydraulic Fitter will be responsible for:
- Disassembly, inspection, and assembly of hydraulic cylinders and engineering components
- Precision measurement using specialised tooling
- Basic failure analysis and NDT crack testing of components
- Hydraulic testing of cylinders
- Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
- Operating hydraulic machinery and testing equipment
- Maintaining a consistently high standard of safety and compliance with work instructions
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant trade qualifications
- Proven experience with hydraulic cylinders and related components
- The ability to strip, measure, inspect, assemble, and test hydraulic cylinder components
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to fine tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- A strong commitment to safety and the wellbeing of yourself and your teammates
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support apprentice development
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
