- Hands‑on servicing, repairs, and commissioning of heavy Tesmec plant and equipment
- Fault finding, breakdown repairs, and routine maintenance - workshop & field
- Supporting site jobs with fit‑ups, testing, and getting gear ready for hire and use
About the Role
Haynes is currently seeking an experienced Service Repair Technician to join our valued client based at their Zillmere facility. This is a critical role supporting operational requirements through the commissioning, servicing, repair, and maintenance of Tesmec and associated plant and equipment, both in the workshop and in the field.

Key Responsibilities
- Fault finding, diagnostics, and condition assessments on plant and equipment
- Commissioning, servicing, repairs, refurbishments, and upgrades of Tesmec and related machinery
- Safe and effective work in both workshop and field environments
- Conduct inspections, audits, and quality assurance checks
- Support equipment logistics, including preparation, testing, loading, and unloading for hire
- Assist with routine and preventative maintenance programs
- Provide technical support during onsite servicing and commissioning activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical or Diesel Fitter
- Proven experience in the service, repair, and maintenance of plant and equipment
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical fault finding
- Ability to travel interstate regularly for onsite servicing, repairs, maintenance, and commissioning
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise across all levels
- High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving capability
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Tesmec equipment or related technologies
- Experience working on specialised equipment such as tensioners, winches, line‑pullers, or similar machinery
