Yard Person

The Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Yard Person to join our Pinkenba site on day shift.

This is a labour hire position through Haynes, with the genuine opportunity to transition into a permanent role with HMG for the right candidate.

You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and organised yard and workshop, while supporting the broader team with general labouring and materials handling duties.

What You’ll Be Doing

• General yard duties, including moving, organising, and handling materials, parts, and equipment
• Maintaining clean, tidy, and safe yard and workshop areas
• Cleaning work areas, offices, and amenities as required
• Assisting trades and workshop personnel with basic labouring tasks
• Complying with all HMG safety and environmental procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a yard, workshop, or hands-on labouring role (preferred)
• Forklift licence
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
• Reliable, safety-focused, and a positive team player
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
