Accessory Fitter

We are seeking experienced Automotive Accessory Fitters to join a busy Townsville workshop. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who prides themselves on high quality workmanship, safe work practices, and delivering great outcomes for customers.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for fitting a broad range of aftermarket accessories to vehicles and equipment in a well established workshop environment. This includes mechanical and basic electrical fit outs, quality checks, and following technical documentation to ensure each job is completed to a high standard.

What’s on offer:

• Location: Mount St John, Townsville
• Hours: 6:00am – 4:00pm; occasional overtime as required to meet deadlines
• Roster: Monday – Friday
• Pay: $47/hr – $50/hr + penalties (dependent on experience and qualifications)
• Type: Casual Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities:

• Install a wide range of accessories, including:

- Trays, canopies, toolboxes

- Tow bars, ladder racks, bull bars, winches

- Lighting systems, UHF radios and custom components

• Assist with measuring, drilling, cutting and basic fabrication
• Interpret job sheets, drawings and measurements to complete work accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe and compliant workshop environment
• Use hand, power and workshop tools safely and effectively
• Deliver high quality results that meet company and customer expectations

What we’re Looking for:

• Manual driver’s licence (Required)
• Experience in automotive accessory fitting or similar mechanical trade
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Competent using hand and power tools
• Ability to read drawings, wiring diagrams and fitment instructions
• Auto electrical experience (Highly regarded)
• Background with ARB, TJM or similar 4x4/fit-out environments (Highly regarded)
