We want you:

Seeking a Qualified electrician to operate and maintain solar and gas power sites across NT with a leader in renewable energy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and operate the performance of the power generation facilities and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on solar farm and gas-fuelled electrical systems.
  • Conduct electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and fault diagnostics on solar panels, inverters, and associated electrical equipment.
  • Conduct corrective maintenance on gas-fuelled generator sets
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities.
  • Report on operations performance, compliance, and production results.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian electrical standards and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with technical teams and contractors to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.
  • Respond to breakdowns and system faults in a timely manner.
  • Work in accordance with company health and safety protocols.
  • Be flexible with work hours and willing to work in hot/dry conditions.
  • Be on call (on a roster) for emergency outages
  • Travel to Katherine for 1 week per month.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Qualified Electrician with relevant Northern Territory Electrical Licensing.
  • High Voltage Operator and Switching qualification desired.
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Experience in solar farm operation & maintenance or large-scale renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including inverters, transformers, switchgear, and related solar farm infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations, including isolation procedures, risk assessments, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Experience with SCADA systems and monitoring platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote locations.
