Yard Person

Haynes is seeking a reliable Yardperson to join our client in Stapylton. This hands-on role involves operating a 16-tonne forklift, loading/unloading traffic barriers, and performing general yard and maintenance tasks.

What's on offer:

• Location: Stapylton, QLD
• Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm + overtime. Occasionally weekend and night shift hours.
• Pay Rate: $38.75/hr + penalties
• Type: Casual role with potential to transition to permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload traffic barriers using a 16-tonne forklift
• Sort and conduct minor repairs on barriers (e.g., rebolting signage)
• Maintain a clean and organised yard environment
• Assist with basic maintenance and stock control
• Complete required paperwork accurately

What we're looking for:

• Driver's Licence and reliable transport
• Current Forklift Licence (essential)
• Ability to perform physical work and manual handling tasks
• Reliable, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing shifts
• Previous yard or labouring experience preferred
• Physically fit and able to pass a Drug & Alcohol screen
