About the Position

Based in our Paget Workshop, as a Hydraulic Fitter you will be required to:

  • Perform the disassembly, inspection and assembly of hydraulic cylinders and engineering components.
  • Measuring with precision tooling, basic failure analysis, perform NDT crack testing of components and hydraulic testing of cylinders.
  • Read/interpret detailed drawings
  • Operate hydraulic machinery and testing equipment
  • Maintain a very high standard of safety and compliance to work instructions

About you
To be successful as a Hydraulic Fitter with the Austchrome Team, you will require:

  • Hold the Relevant Trade Qualifications
  • Have experience in all facets of Hydraulic Cylinders and components
  • Ability to strip, measure, inspect, assemble and test hydraulic cylinder components
  • Can read and understand engineering drawings and work to fine tolerances
  • Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be committed to safety and the wellbeing of yourself and your teammates
  • Work well in a team environment and support the learning of apprentices
  • Can pass a Pre employment medical and Drug and alcohol test
