Haynes is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our valued client based in Eagle Farm, Brisbane. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity within a high-performing logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Manage day to day procurement operations to maintain optimal stock levels aligned with supplier lead times.
  • Create, monitor, and maintain purchase orders with high accuracy in confirmations, pricing, and delivery variances.
  • Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft Office package.
  • Anticipate and mitigate supply risks including back orders, stock delays, and inventory shortfalls.
  • Handle daily purchase orders, supplier confirmations, and resolve delivery discrepancies.
  • Maintain stock accuracy through forecasting, ERP min/max adjustments, and usage analysis.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply for production.
  • Support audits, compliance requirements, invoice queries, and material phase out activities.

The successful applicant must have

  • Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport.
  • Highly organised, proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven experience in a purchasing, procurement, or purchasing support role.
  • Confident using ERP systems and inventory management tools.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Previous experience working within a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational setting is highly regarded.
