Occupational Health Officer

Haynes is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Officer to support health and injury management initiatives. This role involves coordinating medical bookings, managing confidential records and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external providers to deliver quality health programs and meet key deadlines.

What’s on offer:

• Location: Paget, Mackay
• Hours: 38-hour week, Monday–Friday (flexible start/finish times)
• Pay Rate: $49.54/hr + penalties
• Duration: 6–12 months
• Start Date: End of January

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver health initiatives and injury prevention programs across business units
• Assist with research and evidence-based health practices
• Book and manage pre-employment and occupational medicals
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records in line with legislation
• Process invoicing, remittance and reconcile accounts
• Coordinate Coal Board and site medicals
• Support health documentation, policy reviews and communications
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and continuous improvement

What we’re looking for:

• Tertiary qualification in Applied Science or related field, or currently undertaking study
• Previous medical administration experience (advantageous)
• Excellent communication and professional phone etiquette
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Proficient in MS Office and data entry
