Haynes are seeking a skilled Maintenance Coordinator who can organise small projects, manage contractors and oversee parts procurement. This hands-on role combines mechanical maintenance with planning and organisational responsibilities to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

What’s on offer:

  • Location: Bohle, Townsville
  • Roster: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 5:45am – 2:15pm
  • Pay Rate: $50.62/hr + penalties
  • Additional Hours: Overtime available during peak periods
  • Type: Casual with potential to transition to permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.
  • Coordinate small projects and assist with planning and scheduling.
  • Manage contractors and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Source and organise parts for maintenance activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Maintain accurate records using SAP or similar systems.

What we’re looking for:

  • Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
  • Trade-qualified Fitter or equivalent experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to manage contractors and coordinate minor projects
  • Experience with SAP or similar maintenance systems
  • Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Physically fit and able to pass a Drug & Alcohol screen
