Civil Operator

We want you:

Are you a skilled Civil Operator ready to take on exciting site work across Mackay and beyond? At Haynes we’re looking for a reliable, safety-focused team player to join our growing crew!

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate civil construction machinery such as excavators, loaders & rollers in accordance with site requirements and training.
• Perform daily pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and cleaning of plant and equipment.
• Read and interpret site plans, levels, and job specifications.
• Work collaboratively with site teams to achieve daily production and safety targets.
• Assist with site setup, trenching, backfilling, compaction, and material movement.
• Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) and environmental management procedures.
• Report any hazards, incidents, or maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain clear and respectful communication with supervisors, clients, and other contractors.

To be successful, you will have:

• Valid White Card (Construction Induction) – essential.
• Plant Operator Tickets (e.g., Excavator, Roller, Moxy, Loader, or Grader) – essential.
• HR Drivers Licence - Cleaning Driving History
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Test
