Machine Operator

We want you:

Haynes is currently seeking Civil Operator’s to join our client’s team on a solar farm project based in Merriwa, NSW. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the renewable energy sector and contribute to a large-scale solar installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate assigned plant (roller, Moxy, excavator, loader, grader, or dozer) safely and efficiently in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct pre-start checks and daily maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Perform earthworks, trenching, backfilling, and compaction activities to specification.
• Load, haul, and place materials using appropriate techniques.
• Work under the direction of supervisors to meet production targets and project timelines.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and environmental awareness sessions.
• Report mechanical issues, hazards, or incidents promptly.
• Ensure all work areas are left clean and tidy at the end of shift.

To be successful, you will have:

• Proven experience operating civil plant and equipment (roller, Moxy, excavator, etc.).
• Construction Induction (White Card).
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Commitment to safe work practices and site compliance.
• Experience working on solar farm or large-scale civil projects (highly regarded).
• Ability to interpret site instructions and work unsupervised
