Civil Labourer

We want you:

Haynes is currently seeking Civil Labourers to join our client’s team on a solar farm project based in Merriwa, NSW. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the renewable energy sector and contribute to a large-scale solar installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist civil plant operators and trades in daily earthworks, trenching, and drainage activities.
• Conduct manual tasks including shovelling, raking, spotting, and site clean-up.
• Set up and dismantle work areas, barriers, and signage as required.
• Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment safely around site.
• Operate small tools and equipment (plate compactors, water pumps, saws, etc.) under supervision.
• Act as a spotter / safety observer for plant and vehicle movements.
• Comply with all A One Earthworks and site-specific WHS, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and site training as required.

To be successful, you will have:

• White Card – Mandatory
• Driver’s Licence and reliable transport – Mandatory
• Previous experience in civil, construction, or renewable energy projects (desirable)
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Tickets such as forklift, EWP, or telehandler (advantageous but not essential)
