About the Role

Haynes is on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Parts Adviser to join our client, based in Townsville. As a key part of our client’s warehousing and distribution operations, you’ll play a vital part in delivering top-tier customer service and ensuring clients receive the right parts at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth operation of workshop activities by efficiently sourcing parts for time-sensitive jobs
  • Maintain a steady and accurate flow of inventory, ensuring compliance with supply guidelines
  • Deliver expert Parts Interpreting services to support our branch and workshop teams
  • Engage with clients via phone to promote new products, services, and business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and promote the use of genuine parts
  • Stay up to date with the latest product developments and use this knowledge to support customer needs and business growth

What we are looking for

  • A completed (or near completion) Certificate in Parts Interpreting or relevant industry training/experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a parts interpreting or related role
  • A solid understanding of internal combustion engine operation (essential), with bonus points for knowledge of automatic transmissions
  • Familiarity with MTU, Detroit Diesel, Allison, or similar products is a plus—but not a dealbreaker
  • Experience with ERA Link is desirable, though not required
