Haynes is seeking an experienced and proactive mechanical technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial laundry equipment to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the production line.

Key Responsibilities include

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and machinery.
• Read and follow technical drawings, manuals, and work instructions.
• Perform regular maintenance and respond quickly to breakdowns.
• Find and fix mechanical faults using the right tools and methods.
• Ensure all work follows Australian standards, WHS rules, and HCS policies.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
• Manage tools, equipment, and spare parts stock.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop.
• Support other maintenance tasks as needed.
• Be available for emergency repairs outside normal hours.

The successful applicant must have

• Trade Cert III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade)
• Good Technical Ability: Able to interpret and understand mechanical drawings and geometry, mechanical hands-on ability and taking accurate.
• Hands-on experience of mechanical equipment assembly or machine building.
• Lead maintenance activities, ensuring strong maintenance practices, effective spare parts and inventory control, and the use of scheduled and preventative strategies to maximise equipment uptime and spare parts readiness.
• Ability to problem solve, fault find and run diagnostics on production machinery
• Able to work individually and in a team environment.

• Current Drivers Licence + reliable transport
