Trades Assistant

Join a small, supportive team of 3 as a Trades Assistant in a busy commercial laundry environment. You'll work closely with both electrical and fitter trades to maintain and support the upkeep of production line equipment, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. This hands-on role involves assisting with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, providing vital support to help minimise downtime and keep equipment in optimal condition.

Position Details

• Monday To Friday roster
• Day & Afternoon shifts on offer
• $24.58 - $26.32 per hour plus penalties (depending on expeirence)
• Permanent position
• Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities

• Assist electricians and fitters with maintenance tasks
• Support repairs on production line equipment
• Help troubleshoot equipment issues
• Perform general labouring duties as directed
• Ensure safe work practices are followed
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas
• Contribute to smooth and efficient operations

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in Trades Assistant positions (mandatory)
• Prior experience with commercial laundry equipment maintenance or similar (highly regarded)
• Current drivers' licence and reliable transport
• Strong knowledge and experience with a range of basic hand tools.
• High-Risk Work Forklift licence (preferred)
• Confined spaces ticket
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and Drug/Alcohol screen
