HAYNES is on the lookout for a reliable and experienced Machinist who can competently and efficiently use manual lathes, mills and other workshop equipment to conduct complex manual machining of components for fabrication and repairs.

Position Details:

• Monday to Friday 40 hour roster
• Permanent opportunity
• Competative rates plus penalties
• Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manual and/or CNC machines to produce precision parts

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Perform routine maintenance and checks on machines

• Maintain a clean and organised work area

• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors

What We're Looking For

• Trade Qualified - Fitter/Machinist
• Experience working as a Machinist in metal machining and fabrication environment
• Demonstrated experience in operating centre lathes, radial drills, milling machines, and horizontal borer
• Ability to read and interpret engineering technical drawings
• High attention to detail and a sound knowledge of measuring instruments
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and work in a fast-paced & dynamic work environment
• CNC lathe operation with experience in Fanuc control is advantageous
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and Drug/Alcohol screen.
