Diesel Fitter

Haynes currently have an opportunity for a qualified Diesel Fitter – Field Service Technician to join our valued client based in Gladstone.

What’s on offer:

• $50 per hour
• $300 per week housing allowance
• Company vehicle provided
• Permanent, full-time position
• Monday to Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct mechanical inspections, scheduled servicing, and routine maintenance on a fleet of equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment faults and failures
• Carry out mechanical repairs and return equipment to full operational capacity
• Accurately complete and submit job-related paperwork on time
• Assist with monitoring equipment reliability and hire readiness at the branch
• Inspect equipment upon return and report damage to ensure cost recovery
• Clean and prepare equipment for hire
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and suppliers
• Perform other duties as directed in line with your skills and experience

Requirements:

• Relevant mechanical trade qualification
• Proven experience in field service or similar environment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work autonomously with a high attention to detail
• Full working rights in Australia
• Must be able to pass a PEM and DAS
