Field Service Technician

Haynes are currently seeking interest for a Field Service Technician for one of our valued clients located in Mackay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical inspections, scheduled servicing, and maintenance of equipment onsite and in the workshop.
• Diagnose and repair equipment faults to restore operational functionality.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of all work completed.
• Clean and prepare equipment for hire.
• Build positive working relationships with customers and ensure excellent communication on maintenance issues.
• Monitor equipment reliability and support hire-readiness processes at the branch level.
• Maintain a well-stocked and clean service vehicle.
• Participate in an on-call roster and undertake other duties as required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade qualification in mechanical, hydraulics, fitting, or auto-electrical work.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on client sites.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail and professional presentation.
• Flexible and capable of multitasking.
• Willingness to uphold safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times.

Desirable:

• 3–5 years of relevant industry experience
• Familiarity with site-based service requirements
• Forklift (LF) and EWP (WP) High Risk Work Licences

Essential Requirements:

• Valid Australian Class C Driver’s Licence
• Trade qualifications as outlined
• Willingness to complete background checks as required
