Haynes are currently seeking interest for a Field Service Technician for one of our valued clients located in Mackay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical inspections, scheduled servicing, and maintenance of equipment onsite and in the workshop.
- Diagnose and repair equipment faults to restore operational functionality.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of all work completed.
- Clean and prepare equipment for hire.
- Build positive working relationships with customers and ensure excellent communication on maintenance issues.
- Monitor equipment reliability and support hire-readiness processes at the branch level.
- Maintain a well-stocked and clean service vehicle.
- Participate in an on-call roster and undertake other duties as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Trade qualification in mechanical, hydraulics, fitting, or auto-electrical work.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on client sites.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and professional presentation.
- Flexible and capable of multitasking.
- Willingness to uphold safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times.
Desirable:
- 3–5 years of relevant industry experience
- Familiarity with site-based service requirements
- Forklift (LF) and EWP (WP) High Risk Work Licences
Essential Requirements:
- Valid Australian Class C Driver’s Licence
- Trade qualifications as outlined
- Willingness to complete background checks as required
