CCTV Operator & Locator Operator

Haynes are currently seeking interest for a CCTV Operator & Locator Operator for one of our valued clients located in Mackay.

Positions Available:

• CCTV Pipe Inspection Operator
• Service Locator Operator

Both roles are casual to start, with the potential for full-time employment for the right candidates.

About the company:

They service mining, agricultural, and civil industries throughout Queensland. With a hands-on approach and strong team culture, they deliver high-quality services across CCTV pipe inspections, hydro excavation, drain cleaning, and underground service locating.

CCTV Pipe Inspection Operator – Postion Details:

• Based in Mackay, with travel across North QLD
• Use Proteus camera systems to inspect pipes (80mm to 2m)
• Generate and submit reports using WinCan VX
• Support condition assessments and drain cleaning work
• Travel away from home when required – accommodation & meals provided

Service Locator Operator – Postion Details:

• Based in Mackay with travel with travel across North QLD
• Conduct DBYD searches, 2D GPR, EMF locating, mapping, and record research
• Liaise with clients and complete detailed reports
• Telstra-accredited and trained with advanced location equipment
• Travel required for project coverage – accommodation & meals provided

Requirements (Both Roles):

• Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card) – required
• Current Driver's Licence – required
• Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Confined Space Entry certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Physically fit and able to pass PEM (Pre-Employment Medical) & DAS (Drug and Alcohol Screening)
• Ability to work in hot, demanding environments
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude
• Computer literate with strong reporting skills

Additional Requirements (Specific):
CCTV Operator:

• Experience in CCTV pipeline inspections and WinCan VX
• WSAA accreditation preferred

Locator Operator:

• DBYD Certification – required
• Telstra Accreditation – required
• Experience with 2D GPR, EMF wands, and service locating technology
