CNC Machinist

Haynes are currently seeking skilled and experienced CNC Machinists to join our clients team. In this position, you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality, custom-machined components. You’ll be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines with accuracy and efficiency.

Position Details:

• Monday to Friday roster with overtime available
• 6:30am to 2:36pm daily
• Casual Temp to Perm opportunity
• $53.12 per hour plus penalties
• Available for immediate start

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or milling machines
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Perform tool changes and offsets as needed
• Maintain strict quality control standards
• Troubleshoot and adjust programs to optimise performance
• Ensure machinery is maintained and operated safely
• Produce high-quality work within appropriate timeframes
• Contribute to a safe work environment following company policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For:

• Relevant Trade qualification - Certificate III in Engineering (Fabriciation) or similar qualification
• Hold current drivers' licence and reliable transport
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Able to read and interpret drawings and measurements accurately
• Strong knowledge of machining practices and safety standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical including Drug/Alcohol screen.
