Diesel Fitter

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Fitter to join our clients dynamic team in Toowoomba QLD. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics of a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery, trucks and other mobile plant equipment.

Position Details

• Monday to Friday roster
• 7:00am to 3:00pm daily
• Competitive hourly rate + penalties.
• 3 months Temp to Perm opportunity
• Located Toowoomba QLD

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and scheduled servicing of plant and heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults and conduct preventative maintenance.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.

What We're Looking For

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or similar field
• Proven experience working with Heavy Diesel equipment, trucks and mobile plant machinery.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems and diagnostics tools.
• Previous Auto Electricial experience (advantageous)
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current HR drivers licence and reliable transport
• High-Risk Forklift Licence (desirable)
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical including Drug/Alcohol screen.
