Workshop Supervisor – Permanent Opportunity | Mackay Region

Are you an experienced and hands-on leader looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a proactive and mechanically minded Workshop Supervisor to join one of our clients in the Mackay region. This is a permanent, full-time role with clear progression opportunities toward Branch Management.

What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive salary of $80,000 – $90,000 + super (depending on experience)
  • Stable, Monday to Friday roster (occasional weekend work)

Position Overview:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the workshop and oversee a small team
  • Identify and diagnose seat models and their safe operating conditions
  • Fit and wire vehicle seats for agricultural, industrial and mining clients
  • Read and interpret drawings and instructions for installation
  • Operate hand and power tools, and carry out basic welding tasks
  • Manage inventory, process freight and dispatch, and assist with sales
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold safety standards
  • Progression to Branch Management is the intention for this candidate

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude (trade qualification not essential)
  • Previous team supervision experience
  • Current driver's licence and forklift (LF) ticket
  • Experience with vehicle electrics/wiring
  • Sound computer skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Physically fit and able to pass medicals and drug/alcohol testing if required
  • A mature and practical attitude with excellent communication skills
