Haynes is seeking experienced Civil Construction Plant Operators and Civil Construction Labourers for various projects around Townsville.

Key Responsibilities for plant operators

• Operate civil construction machinery such as
• Rollers
• Compactors
• Skid Steers
• Backhoes
• Excavators
• Dozers
• Graders
• Scrapers
• Water Trucks
• Articulated Haul Trucks
• Dump Trucks
• Agitator Trucks
• Water Trucks
• Perform tasks related to roadworks, earthworks, drainage and other forms of site preparation
• Conduct pre-start checks and report any issues
• Conduct machine maintenance such as greasing and cleaning
• Other adhoc Civil tasks as required
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Essential requirements for machine operators:

• Proven experience operating civil construction machinery
• Relevant machine tickets and licences
• Construction White or Blue Card
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
• Work with minimal to no supervision
• Be able to pass pre employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
• Be able to pass a national police check

Key Responsibilities for Civil Labourers

• Assist with site preparation and clean up
• Operate hand and power tools
• Lay pipes, trenching and backfilling
• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Essential Requirements for Civil Labourers

• Previous civil construction labouring experience
• Construction White or Blue card
• Be able to pass a pre employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
• Be able to pass a national police check
