About the role:

We increase the productivity, performance and profits of leaders across mining, oil and gas, energy, defence, construction, shipping, lift and shift, transport and agriculture by reducing their downtime and maintenance costs.
Based in Brisbane this role requires an experienced, motivated HSEQ Advisor to provide advice and guidance on all Health, Safety, Environment and Quality matters whilst champion changes across the work groups.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Actively promote HSE and embedding HSE leadership practices for a proactive risk management safety culture
- Create, implement, and maintain systems and procedures relating to the leadership & management of HSE, Quality and Training
- Overseeing and monitoring contractor compliance
- Conducting incident investigations, coaching, and mentoring the team throughout the process to deliver quality outcomes.
- Manage and monitor occupational health requirements while being proactive with identifying and implementing injury& health initiatives for all employees.
- Manage workplace rehabilitation for injured workers in consultation with medical professionals and regulators.
- Providing accurate reporting on HSE Performance monthly
- Maintain documents as set out in the company document and data management standard.
- Monitor and apply governance and controls so legal and regulatory obligations are maintained.
- Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and company management systems
- Providing accurate reporting on HSE Performance monthly
- Provide HSE assurance & due diligence support for business operations.
- Undertaking internal audits and inspections against the Health and Safety Management System
- Assist in undertaking HSE inductions and facilitation of HSE training.
- Undertake any ad hoc projects, initiatives, tasks as directed by the HSEQ Lead
About You:
- Passionate about your position, love what you do and enjoy a challenge and working closely with people.
- Tertiary qualification in a HSEQ related discipline mandatory
- Experience in Microsoft 365 systems, online reporting systems, Rapid Global contractor management systems
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a medium to large enterprise with proven background in all aspects of HSEQ, cultural change and engagement
- Experienced practitioner who delivers results
- Qualification in Return to Work and Rehabilitation
- ISO certification experience 9001/45001/14001
