We are currently recruiting for a skilled HSE Advisor for an exciting opportunity with our client in Mackay, QLD.

Requirements:

  • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures and programs in line with company and legislative requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessment, safety inspections and audits.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on all HSE-related matters.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement, communication, and awareness programs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct tool box talks.

Position Details:

  • Monday to Friday roster
  • 1 week in town & 1 week travelling to various sites.
  • Immediate start available
  • Casual ongoing position

The successful candidate, must have:

  • Current drivers' licence and reliable transport
  • Hold relevant qualification - Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety or equivalent
  • 6 month minimum experience in a similar HSE role.
  • Proficient within transport, logistics, construction, or a related industries.
  • Previous experience with STEMS software (highly regarded)
  • Knowledge of workplace safety legislation, risk management, compliance and procedure writing.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to safety leadership.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment including Drug/Alcohol screen
