Haynes currently have an opportunity for Mechanical and Electrical Crane Technicians to join our valued client based in Mackay.

Roles on Offer:

  1. Mechanical Crane Technician:
  • Install new overhead crane systems according to engineering specifications and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on overhead crane equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  • Diagnose mechanical, and hydraulic issues with overhead crane systems and implement appropriate repairs or replacements.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs on overhead crane components, including hoists, trolleys, brakes, motors, and controls.
  • Apply workplace health and safety requirements, policies and procedures, conducting safety assessments, documenting occupational hazards and risks, following safety protocols and procedures in maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs and parts inventory.

  1. Electrical Crane Technician:

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with overhead crane systems and implement appropriate repairs or replacements.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs on overhead crane components, including hoists, trolleys, brakes, motors, and controls.
  • Apply workplace health and safety requirements, policies and procedures, conducting safety assessments, documenting occupational hazards and risks, following safety protocols and procedures in electrical work, maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs and parts inventory.

The successful candidate will require:

  • Trade Qualified – Mechanical Fitter & or Electrical/Fitter
  • Construction White Card
  • HRW – WP (Work Platform)
  • Working at Heights
  • LVR/CPR for Electricians
  • Previous crane experience
  • Driver’s Licence and Reliable Vehicle
