Mechanical Fitter

Haynes are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter for our valued client located in Pinkenba.

Job Opportunity: Mechanical Fitter – Preventative Maintenance & Repairs
Location: Pinkenba, Brisbane
Position: Temp to Perm (3-month contract)
Monday to Friday – 38 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $50 + penalties (inclusive of tool allowance $0.47)

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Pinkenba, Brisbane. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with various production machines, including hoppers, conveyors, mixers, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of production machines.
• Plan, order parts, and arrange specialized assistance when necessary.
• Perform hands-on mechanical work on production equipment.
• Maintain and improve machinery performance to ensure optimal production levels.

About You:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting.
• Current Driver’s License and reliable car for transportation.
• Computer literacy for maintenance and reporting tasks.
• Able to pass a PEM & DAS (Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Screening).

Advantageous:

• Forklift License.
• Loader Ticket.
• Experience with SAP (computer system for maintenance tracking and ordering).

Working Conditions:

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.6 hours per day (38 hours per week).
• During peak season (July/Aug to Dec/Jan), longer hours may apply.
• No work on public holidays.
