As the Human Resources Advisor, you will enjoy a varied role, along with a wide range of interactions across all levels of the business.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will provide full cycle Human Resources support to our Brisbane and Central Queensland Operations. You will play a critical role in executing our HR initiatives by providing excellent customer support and process improvement initiatives.
About the Role
The Human Resources Advisor is a key member of the People and Culture team, reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager to support impactful HR initiatives.
- Partner closely with our Central Queensland and Brisbane operations teams to offer practical, employee-centred advice and support.
- Support our internal recruitment, selection, and appointment processes, including stakeholder engagement, contract generation, and onboarding.
- Provide comprehensive support across various HR functions such as employee relations, engagement, performance management, and talent management.
- Offer guidance on industrial and employee relations matters, including award interpretation.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to enhance HR policies and implement initiatives that foster employee engagement and motivation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records to ensure compliance with legislation and uphold data integrity.
- Assist in the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives.
- Coach people leaders to better understand HR requirements and collaborate on developing solutions that align with business needs and desired outcomes.
- Foster effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including Finance, Payroll, and union representatives.
About you:
- Over 3 years of proven HR experience in a similar role.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of managing and analysing HR metrics to identify root causes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR practices and legislation, including the Fair Work Act, NES, and Modern Awards.
- Personable and approachable, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys challenges, and seeks opportunities to improve processes while supporting the team.
- Holds tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with excellent time management.
- Proficient in HR systems such as Workday and SAP SuccessFactors, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Skilled at building strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Capable of working independently and managing priorities effectively.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
