Haynes are currently seeking experienced Boilermakers for day and afternoon shifts with one of our valued clients located in Mackay, Queensland.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
• Mark out steel components and cut, notch, drill ream, shape and form steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
• Fit up and tack weld steel components with correct dimensions, edge preparations, weld preparations and gaps to tolerance indicated in drawings
• Fit lifting lugs, bracing, supports aids to ensure integrity of steel component when moving or rotating with gantry cranes
• Perform welding techniques including MMAW, FCAW, MIG

On Offer:

• Casual ongoing employment basis
• Monday to Friday roster
• Day Shift – 6am to 2:30pm each day
• Afternoon Shift – 3:30pm to midnight each day
• $55p.h plus penalties (Day Shift)
• $63.25p.h plus penalties (Night Shift)

Mandatory Requirements:

• Trade Qualification in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication or Platework
• Prior workshop experience in mining or large-scale operations
• Australian Manual Drivers Licence + reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
