Austchrome is a Mackay based company that is part of a larger Reclamation and Engineering service within Sime Darby Industrial.

Austchrome offers dedicated and specialised services for all aspects of repairs and our facility supports this process with modern equipment and experienced trade qualified operators. We are the experts in hydraulic cylinder manufacture and repair, component reclamation and surface technology solutions.

With large inspection bays, painting booths and dozens of overhead and jib cranes, our facility is tailor-made to meet the largest reclamation requirements!

About the Role:

• Monday – Friday
• Permanent positions available
• 38hrs per week + additional overtime
• Competitive rates
• Assisting in the manufacturing and repairs to hydraulic cylinders.

Requirements:

• Relevant Trade Qualification - Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
• Current drivers’ licence and reliable transport
• Proven experience in machining, with a focus on precision and quality
• Familiarity with CNC programming and operation is an advantage
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
