Excavator Operator & Pipelayer

Haynes currently have an opportunity for a Excavator Operator & Pipelayer to work alongside our client located in Mackay.

Excavator Operator Position Details:

• Location: Mackay
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 5pm
• Employment Type: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate 25 to 30T diggers, with additional machinery like rollers, backhoes, and skid steers available if ticketed.
• Perform labouring tasks as needed.
• Experience with GPS, trenching, drainage, or pipelaying is a plus!

Requirements:

• Excavator RII ticket.
• Construction White Card.
• Current Driver’s Licence.

Advantageous:

• Additional tickets for Roller, Skid Steer, etc.
• Truck licence.

Pipelayer Position Details:

• Location: Mackay
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 5pm
• Employment Type: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, connect, and construct pipe systems for subdivisions and commercial civil projects.
• Utilize strong communication and organizational skills to read plans effectively.
• Dig trenches and culverts to align pipes and seal joints.
• Promote a safe work environment by adhering to WHS guidelines.

Requirements:

• Pipelaying Qualification.
• Construction White Card.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to pass a PEM & DAS assessment.

Advantageous:

• Additional tickets for Roller, Skid Steer, etc.
• Experience with GPS.
