About the role

Based in the busy mining and manufacturing hub of Pinkenba, this is a great full-time opportunity for candidates who have the dedication to provide customers with a quality product and be part of an established brand with strategic growth plans.

We are seeking applications from an experienced Engineer for our Pinkenba Operations


The Role:

  • Designing and developing new products or improving existing ones, considering factors such as functionality, manufacturability, cost, customer requirements and regulations.
  • Designing required tooling, fixtures and jigs
  • Undertaking appropriate techniques to produce sketches of components and parts for processing into CAD drawings.
  • Reviewing and Approving Drawings
  • Creating BOM's for products
  • Establishing product standards and procedures and implementing measures to ensure that products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify new materials, technologies, and methods that could enhance product performance, reduce costs, or improve manufacturing processes.
  • Planning and executing engineering projects, including setting objectives, developing schedules, allocating resources, and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Providing technical support to production teams, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and implementing corrective actions to resolve problems and minimize downtime.
  • Identifying potential risks associated with product designs and manufacturing processes, and implementing measures to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements, and staying updated on changes to regulations that may impact manufacturing operations.
  • Providing training and mentorship to junior engineers and other staff members to develop their technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Working closely with other departments to understand their needs and requirements, and incorporating feedback into designs and development processes.

About You:

The successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

  • Committed to safety.
  • University Qualification (Bachelor Degree).
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • CAD Drafting experience.
  • High degree of computer literacy.
  • Familiarity with welding procedures, failure modes, and processes
  • High attention to detail.
