About the Role

Based in the busy mining and manufacturing hub of Pinkenba, this is a great full-time opportunity for candidates who have the dedication to provide customers with a quality product and be part of an established brand with strategic growth plans.

Based in Pinkenba, this role requires a highly motivated individual and the key responsibilities of the role and requirements include:

  • Oversee the daily production line, whilst scheduling working through all departments
  • Manage a workshop of highly skilled Machinists (Manual and CNC).
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance on all production equipment and plant.
  • Maximise production efficiency through innovation and lean manufacturing principles
  • Determine target hours for the work required and communicate with the Leading Hands, to ensure customer expectations are achieved by the team, and that inefficiencies are addressed quickly.
  • Ensure the required daily and weekly departmental meetings are conducted effectively, and actively participate and follow up on actionable items
  • Ensure products and services are delivered consistently with established customer needs and provide value to all stakeholders
  • Responsible for managing estimated work orders and advise Leading Hand and service staff of any variations
  • Responsible for labour utilisation
  • Responsible for the team's compliance with WH&S Legislation and Company policies

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a maintenance leadership role within the mining, maintenance services or heavy earth moving industry.
  • Certificate III in Engineering or related discipline.
  • A natural team player with the ability to communicate with people at various leaves, internally and externally
  • Ability to inspire confidence, coach and manage other to meet Company standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong time management skills.
  • Experience with computer systems and programs including Microsoft Office
