As the Payroll Officer for Haynes Group, you will have a key role in providing support to our employees and our payroll team.

Payroll Officer Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently
  • Assist the payroll function with end-to-end processing of monthly, fortnightly payrolls
  • Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information
  • Experience with processing multiple entities in different states and territories
  • Liaise closely with Human Resources regarding EBAs, Modern Awards, Superannuation, and general employment conditions
  • Process superannuation to online clearing house and balance monthly ledger
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts for payroll including posting journals and accruals
  • Maintain Time and Attendance function.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and general queries
  • Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures
  • Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
  • Support the payroll team

To be successful in this key role, you must demonstrate

  • Previous Payroll Experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate Excel Skills)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
