Trades Assistant

Haynes is currently seeking physically fit, experienced, and safety-conscious Trade Assistants to assist with our Solar Farm construction projects throughout New South Wales. These are stable, well-paid roles at the very frontline of the Australian Renewables industry. We have projects spread throughout NSW both already running and gearing up for a start very soon so we need to bulk up our field teams to handle a massive year ahead!

About the role

• All aspects of solar farm construction works, electrical, mechanical and general labour
• Support and assist electricians with both above and below ground cabling
• Construct frameworks and install PV modules with accuracy and with a focus on safety
• Working in a team environment, looking after yourself and those around you whilst achieving aggressive production targets
• Physical fitness is very important, these are demanding roles requiring long days on your feet, pushing/pulling lifting/carrying and using an array of hand and power tools

You will get

• Monday - Saturday shifts, 60hrs per week including lots of OT
• Long term positions – Haynes holds onto our reliable performers and rewards loyalty and dedication with same
• Everyday transport from and to the site provided
• Opportunities to grow your capabilities and move into new disciplines or even leading roles

What we need

• White card
• CPR/LVR min. 6 months remaining
• Solar experience strongly preferred but not essential
• Good communication skills and team focused attitude is a must
