The Role

This role is offering you an opportunity to establish yourself with an established brand with strategic growth plans and ongoing work in Qld, NSW and WA. In this technical role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing specialist jacking work during slew bearing changes, track frame removal & replacement and other maintenance work for our client's hydraulic excavators and shovels;
• Carrying out all work using the appropriate control guidelines to ensure the planned outcome is achieved and delivered in the required timeframe;
• Providing continuous improvement recommendations within the business and to our clients;
• Delivering strong customer service to our valued clients;
• Local and interstate travel regularly for periods up to 7 - 10 days, occasionally longer when conducting our specialist jacking work with associated shutdown support.

About You

• Whilst trade qualification in any of the following disciplines - Diesel Fitter, Fitter Machinist, Plant Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Boilermaker or Auto Electrician is preferred, experienced trades assistants will also be considered.
• Previous experience working with excavators / shovels and on mine sites is preferred
• High regard for workplace health and safety
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Basic computer literacy and well-developed communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and within strict time frames
• Current valid driver's licence
